چکیده

The treatment landscape of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) has dramatically improved over the last decade; however, patients with visceral metastases are still faced poor outcomes. Phosphatase and tensin homolog ( PTEN ) loss is observed in 40%–60% mCRPC also associated a prognosis. Several PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway inhibitors have been studied, disappointing anti-tumor activity. Here, we present case patient heavily treated who had modest tumor response to concurrent carboplatin, abiraterone acetate/prednisone, liver-directed radiation therapy. We discuss potential rationale supporting use this combination therapy its safety mCRPC. While underlying basic mechanism our patient’s remains uncertain, suggest that further prospective studies warranted evaluate whether effective population pre-treated loss.
